Our House Dye yarns have been created by Jamo, in small batches, therefore each skein has been dyed with love (and sometimes tears).
Many of the yarns are based on images that catches Jamo's eye. Then other times he will pick out certain colours to create matching or complementary semi solids for your fabulous projects. Lets face it who knows where Jamo's mind will take him... no one else has worked it out yet, not even the professionals!
Some of our more mixed colourways are dyed in batches of two, yes two. This gives a lot more control over the dyeing and overall makes a more controlled and consistent result. So if there is something particular you want, drop us a line and we can maybe prioritise the dye.
All our skeins are hand dyed and due to varying techniques and individual outcomes from skein to skein, if using multiple skeins, it is advisable to alternate between skeins throughout your project to minimise a stark visual difference from when you finish one skein and introduce a new one. If using one skein, alternating between the inside and outside of the yarn cake can help reduce striping or pooling.
