A message from Jamo.

Hug was created for an South Australian arts festival, SALA, which celebrates work of living artists. The piece was displayed in the collective that I am a part of in Willunga. The brief was sentimental.

Why is hug sentimental to me. It is the story of my coming out.

As you walk past the shawl the hug starts to disappear, as often friendships do as your life changes.

As you continue your journey, the hugs reappear as strong as ever. This represents the new people in your live who support the new you.

I am sure many of us have situations in our life where the same as happened. I hope hug allows you to reflect on those times. I also hope that it makes you smile and be proud of the person you are today.

Everyone needs a hug.... So please make it happen.
